Most Audiologists today have a clinical doctorate in audiology. Doctors of Audiology (AuD.) have extensive training academically and clinically. Audiology is the science of hearing.

Dr. Amy Jacobson joined our Ashland Audiology family in June 2014 after graduating that May with her Doctorate of Audiology from the University of Wisconsin- Stevens Point Audiology program. Dr. Amy says, "I love working with a great group of people that make going to work every day fun and rewarding." Dr. Amy Jacobson was raised on her family dairy farm in the Rice Lake, WI area. In her spare time she enjoys exploring Lake Superior and the Ashland area with her husband, Matt and her son, Leif. She delights in spending time with family and friends. She also enjoys kayaking, camping, and crafting. She holds an Audiology license in the states of Wisconsin and Michigan and is now seeing patients.
